Pieffe’s production also includes the polyurethane coating of wheels, rollers, cylinders and drums in any hardness and colour, with dimensions up to 1250 mm in diameter and 7000 mm in length. In addition, thanks to an equipped mechanical department, Pieffe offers its customers the supply of the aforementioned items including bearing seats, cores or metal parts, the possibility of employment, the construction of dedicated packaging, and the possible repair of inserts.

Pieffe also offers a wide range of machining on polyurethane coatings: axial, radial and helical scoring, conical, biconical and camber grinding, creation of slug breakers.

Depending on the fields of use, and the mechanical or chemical stresses to which rollers or wheels are subjected, coatings with qualities of:

• resistance to abrasion;
• resistance to traction;
• shear strength;
• noise and stress damping to mechanical parts;
• certain load capacity;
• resistance to linear, intermittent and continuous pressures;
• chemical resistance to oils and greases;
• resistance to paint, ink, petrol and petroleum solvents;
• stability in contact with ozone;
• resistance to light and atmospheric agents;
• high chemical and physical stability at certain temperatures.
